repetitive but cool bass
I think the bassline has some potential, deffo just change the break and use different drums taht are more aggressive and dark. The samples you used for that would fit perfectly in a High Contrast Tune but not in a Noisia Track with this bassline imo. its dark vs. light and so it never gets anywhere. Also the kick is lacking punch and the whole neat is VERY repetitive and also overloaded with kicks :/ Less is more sometimes, change the drums and make a new sequence, turn the hihats down and exchange the samples (get away from the light, jungle hats)
Enough of these harsh words >:( The Bassline is great compared to the older ones, its different in sounds and rich of modulation but lacks a low end and feels like its only playing on the upper mid and high sections. That causes it to sound... empty and plain. It lacks... well.. "phat" if you know what I mean its just not kicking in, you have to give it more room.
Also DO NOT play dnb like a hiphop or pop beat (intro verse chorus verse etc.) its not that simple, make outstanding changes at the end of each 32 bars if you like, bass only, drum rolls, effects, soundsamples or vocals, Keep it changing and dont fall back into the first half again, its the same beat and same bassline mod over and over again besides the changes at 0:51 and 1:47
There is this nice videogame melody in the background ( also in the intro, could be trance) that is NICE and very CATCHY (1:04) but just doesnt fit in the idea of making a dark bassline with a happy jungle beat. I think you know how to produce good sound but not how to put the right parts together and honestly you produce so many songs even with your broken headphones and slow pc that I don't think you get the chance to "feel" them all cause you simply don't have enough time to focus on one track or you just put the stuff together and once you got somthing solid you upload it instantly on NG to let OTHERS tell you what they think of this 1-2 hours sit production. You have to listen to yourself first. I think you should start a serious tracks and work on others like this only as a sideline and check your big track every few days. Take a listen and you will find something to improve I promise, I am working on a huge track myself for like a afew months now and yet its still the same patterns and everything. I am just overworking my mixing and mastering and my break or chnage some EQ here and there a bit everytime I check it. Its little things that make the hole thing complete, the sound is excellent right now thanks to all the smal things I did in the past months and I can say this is the best sounding track every not only in mastering but also in its flow, everything matches it just flows man u know. Thats what I am talking about, you have to feel it...
sorry for any bad words here :,(
